Calories don't count outside your zip code.

Beth and I went hiking on Saturday. It wasn't exactly the hike we planned, the road was snowed out, so we parked and started walking, never actually reaching our trail. There were still nice views and we enjoyed spending the day outdoors.

On the way home we stopped for lunch, and the cafe had this sign up on the wall: CALORIES DON'T COUNT OUTSIDE YOUR ZIP CODE.

While it may not be scientifically defensible, she didn't get reception there, so wasn't able to enter anything into MFP (until we got home) anyway. Maybe there's something to this after all.

This is actually really good to know. I mean I don't mind the drive.

I'll pay it forward with my own info:

Calories are a measurement of heat; therefore, cold foods have no calories. Ice cream, frozen Snickers or unthawed layer cakes, for example.

    You're welcome.

I've heard of something that doesn't count outside your area code, but it definitely wasn't calories...

If you eat breakfast outside the normal breakfast hours, it doesn't count neither
