I don't believe it matters. I choose to work out very early in the mornings during the weekdays because it's the only time I can get it done without people/things bothering me or taking away my time. On weekends I still try to work out in the mornings, just not as early. I take 2 rest days a week and I make sure those are during the work week so there are two days I don't have to drag myself out of bed at 4:30. But as far as fitness goes, be consistent about what you do, but it doesn't have to be at any specific time of day. It may even be beneficial to mix it up from time to time.

Anything is better than nothing. I'm not a morning person but early mornings are the best time for me due to family and work commitments. Whatever you do try to be consistent, not rigid with specific days and times, but consistently do whatever works best for you.

    It doesn't matter...why would it?

Exercise at the time you will be the most consistent. A.M.'s are great, you get it done, nothing that happens later in the day interferes....you're done. Plus it may make you think twice about having that donut, or an extra cookie. But if you aren't a morning person (I'm not) ......it's not gonna happen. I exercise after work, it's planned, it's my time (I don't have young children).

Anytime that works for you is a good time to work out. The only reasons I can imagine it mattering are if you have trouble with exercising on an empty stomach or too soon after eating, or if exercising late at night makes it hard for you to fall asleep. If you don't have any of those issues, then do what fits your schedule.
