I am currently following a low calorie program. When I log in my excercise, the fitness pal app gives me calories back that excercise earned. So seriously, I can eat those earned calories and still loose weight??

That is how MFP is designed. Fuel your workouts especially since you are following a low calorie program. This program is under doctor's care?

Exercise means you use up extra calories, so yes, you can eat more and still lose the same amount of weight.

BUT I'd suggest only eating back about half of those calories to start with. The estimates of how many calories are burned by exercise can be quite inaccurate, so be a little careful.

You mentioned you are on a low calorie diet so it is definitely more important that you eat calories back. It has been my experience however that the MFP exercise calories tend to be on the high side when comparing it to those calories burned on my Fitbit.

It is not recommended to lose more than 2 lbs per week (as much as we all would like to) because with drastic weight loss, you lose muscle also (which by itself burns calories).

If you have a Fitbit you can set it to automatically log your activity levels to MFP exercise which I trust is more accurate. Trust me, on those lazy rainy days where I Xbox, Fitbit will penalize me and even reduce calories on MFP I can eat if I'm not burning them.
