Bed time snacks

Hi everyone!
Sometimes I get hungry at night, so I'd like to have a snack. I've been having a piece of whole wheat toast with peanut butter, but then I realized the peanut butter is probably HORRIBLE for me since it is high in fat. What are some of your favorite bed time snacks?

An Atkins bar. Low in sugar, and carbs, high in protein and fiber. So yummy!0

I find I eat bad things if I stay up around 11:30 or 12:00am. I reach for anything and everything!0

Before bed, something low in calorie and high in fiber to fill you up. So veggies, popcorn (no butter added), blueberries, raspberries, cantaloupe.
You want to avoid high carbs since you are getting ready to sleep so you don't need the energy. Instead you do want protein and fat. So all natural, no sugar added, peanut butter or almond butter on some carrot sticks or a green apple is a pretty good option. Avoid the sugary nut butters all together.0 -

Get yourself some natural peanut butter and have 1/2 a piece of toast with that and a few pieces of fruit maybe some grapes or something?0

Act Popcorn 94 or 97 percent fat free....The whole big bag is only 30 cals. I know it sounds gross, but I dip my in mustard since I can't add any butter.0

Just discovered these and love them! Esp.great for those days your out and about.
As for bedtime snacks--I always have one.I usually have a sugar free jello or pudding cup or a Weight Watcher's ice cream bar or treat.
Sometimes I have a savory treat of a Laughing Cow 35 calorie light cheese wedge w/ a 1 carb portion sz of pretzels or wheat thins,etc.0 -

I do use the Skippy All Natural Peanut Butter... but lately I've been waking up the same weight, or a pound heavier, than I do going to bed, which is new for me, ever since I began snacking at night. It's my plateau now!0 -
This has become a big problem for me. I practice clean eating , which means I eat every 3 hours, a few months in and i cant sleep more than four or five hours because my body wakes me up hungry. So I looked into it and decided it was okay for me to have a bed time snack, contrary to what a lot of diet and nutrition resources tell us. Unfortunately I never know whats okay, avoid this, avoid that so I ended up in front of the fride eating uncontrollably. Nothing unhealthy, natty nut butters, cottage cheese, veggies, egg whites, but in unhealthy portions, peanut butter is the worst for me. So I have come up with a game plan:
1) prepare a balanced calorie controlled portion bed time snack hours in advance so theres no last minute guess work
2) eat it and then go to bed, if i fall asleep on the couch I wake up and have to walk past the fridge to get to my bed which always results in me stopping at the fridge and outcomes the jar of nut butter and a spoon
My snack I think is going to be some cottage cheese mixed with curry powder, ground flax and chia and a tbsp of nut butter on the side just to give me that little fat fix.0 -

I try not to eat after dinner, but when I have to have something it is usually sugar-free Jello. It fills me up but doesn't really add to the calorie load at 10 cal. If I'm extremely hungry, I'll have a protein shake or bar, but that doesn't usually happen.0

lean proteins (chicken breast, eggs, low-fat dairy products - milk, cottage cheese, tuna, protein shakes that contain casein) and unsaturated fats (seafood, olive & canola oils, peanut butter, nuts)..... Casein before bed = god!! for me
no Carbs....
Slow Digesting foods are fine0 -
I always eat before I go to bed and haven't had any problems, hmm, it's usually a big smoothie, or a bagel, mmm...0
