This thread is for anyone who rides a bike. Do you bike to work? Do you pull your children to the park? So you ride weekends? Do you spin, at home or the gym? Do you race crits, ironman, or centuries? Or, are you just starting out and remembering how much fun you had biking when you were a kid? However you choose to push your pedal, you are welcome on this thread.
There's no set challenge across participants - this is a mixed-ability / mixed-experience / everyone welcome group. Just pick your own target that you want to achieve this month, post that when you join the thread, and post updates throughout the month as you're working towards your target.

I have a hard time deciding on a goal this time, since I'll wont be able to ride for almost three weeks this month (vacation with -hopefully- lots of hiking instead ).
Still, with the current nice weather and the long weekend, I'll aim for at least 150km for June, with 200km as a stretch goal.
My new GPS watch arrived today, can't wait to try it out on it's first ride!1 -

My goal is at least 300mi this month. My stretch goal is going to be 425mi.
This should be interesting to see ...2 -
I ride mountain bikes and do single track riding. I just completed my first 30 mile race a couple weeks ago. Was by far the hardest thing I have ever done. I plan on upgrading my bike and trying a different 30 mile course next year.2

That's got the June cycling month off with a bang.....
Was aiming for under 9 hours so really pleased to do it in close to eight and a half hours.
Much more disciplined with my fuelling and hydration this year and it paid off, no mid-event energy slump.
Pushed really hard for the last 15 miles as my Garmin battery was running low.
Apparently this route isn't "officially hilly" - hmmmm.

Back from the minor distraction of my wedding and honeymoon, I'm going to have another go at 500 miles this month, and hopefully get closer to it than last month1

The month started really good. Then I decided to replace my old crankset with a compact one, and since then I haven't been able to get the derailleur adjustment right
I finally brought the bike to a shop hoping they can fix it, hopefully I get it back tomorrow! I re-activated my old city bike yesterday, but I'm too used to the road bike - riding the old bike was no fun at all...

I set a goal of 100 miles this month. I ride a mixture of road and mountain bike trails. All on my 26" mountain bike.
So with the 6 miles this morning here is my progress.

Hi everyone! It's been over a year since I posted in a biking thread and I'm thrilled to be back. Just bought a new Schwinn upright and I'm ready to crank out some miles. Since it's already halfway through the month and I am just getting back to it, I will set a small goal of 50miles.

I got derailed last night. Sprained ligaments in the shoulder really suck. Add in a trip I'm taking July 1 and being unwilling to risk injury before it, and I'm probably going to be restricted to indoors for the rest of the month, sadly.0

Quieter week but a hot week! Struggling to stay hydrated, I've started weighing before/after my rides to estimate how much fluid I've lost and need to replace.
Also got my Boardman hybrid back on the road with a bit of a service and a new tyre. I'd forgotten what a nice ride it is.
