Hey all! Well yesterday I turned 26 and I have decided to change my life. Yes, change my life. So step one to changing my life is throwing Weight watchers out the flippin' door. Yes, weight watchers is a good program, but for me it's not. I constantly scruntinize my foods and think about points. With MFP I can just eat (I know how to eat healthy from ww ) and track the calories, easy peezy. Step two to changing my life is making an appointment with a therapist to talk about this bad relationship I have with food. Constantly thinking about food, losing weight, gaining weight, counting, diet plans, etc. is NOT normal and I don't want this mentality anymore. So the appointment is made! Step three to changing my life is loving myself. Yes, I can go on dates (actually have one this weekend ) and if the guy doesn't like me at this weight he won't like me at 20 pounds lighter! Step four to changing my life is starting the couch to 5k program. I've always wanted to be a runner, but I seem to start too fast and go all in and then give up because of cramps, etc. I will be a runner!!!
So I am now committing 110% to mfp because 26 will not be the same year 25 was...I will be happy, confident, and healthy! I'm gonna start counting my days over again because I haven't done to well lately with bday celebrations and all. I am here to stay, track, and lose weight without OBSESSING!!! I need your help in this and I will help you! I know the other day I said I was getting busy and won't have time to post this...well I'm making the time!
So how are you doing???

I love this! Way to go! I can totally understand all of those feelings. I feel certain 26 will be a million times better than 25 because you want it to and you sound so ready for it.
I don't think I have binged, but I certainly end up cheating quite a bit... I think it's okay to cheat sometimes, but my sometimes has ended up happening more and more often. Time to really work on that for me!0 -
Happy Birthday and you can do this for sure! Just make it simple!0

Happy Birthday. What a wonderful gift you have given yourself. You have a beautiful future ahead of you, all bright and brand new.
I'm here for you and will check on you. You know what to do and you can do it. Don't think of it as a diet but nutrition for the new you. Good fuel to keep you running at optimum level. You are the top of the line and deserve only the best. :flowerforyou:0 -
You talk my talk! I have been trying to convince myself to see a counselor to talk about food as well! I'm on day 4 of my own personal no binge challenge! It's been going great! You go!0

Happy Birthday love the steps too. Funny thing you said about a guy if he doesn't like you now, the we won't like you 20 pounds later... I said something similar but back to front. If I'm not comfortable with myself naked, then how can I expect someone else to be. LOL.
This week has been good, been under my calorie goal so far, but it is only wednesday. Thursday is D-Day, and the scales don't lie. So let's see if I have lost anything. I have had a better outlook with food, and since I've been eating less my body has slowly gotten used to it. Now if I eat something, I'm usually full halfway through the meal, which isn't much. so Hoorah for that one...
Mmmm... let's see how the rest of the week goes. It's my Aunty's birthday this Friday, already told myself I won't drink, and have mentally prepared my brain with regarding the desserts (and we are having ambrosia, trifle, pavlova and chocolate mud cake! pure EVIL I tell you!!!!).
Like the running, I want to be a runner. I will add that to one of my goals. Choice one Kristy, take care0
