Decided to treat me and the family to DQ today..it's rather warm and we've been working outside...and a small blizzard would have fit with in my calorie goal..HOWEVER...I pull up to the drive through window and the lady says, "I am so sorry, we made a large blizzard instead of a small blizzard , we won't charge you for it, have a nice day"

Wtf!! Lol so...what was I to do but eat it...I did go over my calories to lose weight but not to maintain so I am not too worried...but OMG my stomach hurts :(

I had a challenge this week, too. 2-day Jewish holiday=4 festive (read: multi-course) meals, 3 of which I had by friends. Add in that I'm vegetarian and their solution was to serve plentiful (and delicious, and high-calorie) side dishes and...

Well, I got in between two and three hours of walking each day, but I still went a bit over where I wanted to. Like you, I probably didn't cut into maintenance. Hard to know for sure, since I could only guesstimate portion sizes and recipes.

Back on track. And was down 0.4 lbs today (my weekly weigh-in).

You'll be okay. And ginger tea is good for nausea. It might help.

Oh, man. Sonic now lists their calorie totals next to every item on their menu. I now dream of having one day of having only a single large peanut butter custard concrete.

Double chocolate extreme...my stomach was so bloated lastnight and still is today...I never ate large blizzards when I wasn't trying to lose weight. ..but it was worth it...1-for the treat and 2- because I know never ever to eat a large again...it's just too much! But it was good!

Don't beat yourself up about it to much! Who could freaking resist that?!

DQ hurts my stomach too so I usually avoid it or eat ice cream with more basic/natural ingredients.

It sounds like the universe was rewarding you for all your hard work but also reminding not to do it again (bloat/nausea)

I tell people I visit the USA twice a year to experience the culture but basically it's so I can have a DQ Blizzard. I always scope out where the closest one to my hotel is...

I would concider this a little bonus for all the hard work you did , just make sure you get back on track .

I'm not too worried..I didn't go over maintenance calories.. I was more aggravated cuz I KNOW a large hurts my stomach. ..I usually have a tummy ache if I finish a small...it just was soooo good after the heat lol BUT lesson learned. ..hard work in the heat hurts...but NOT as bad as a large blizzard lol

I have been doing very well with this lately. Family has been to DQ twice this weekend and there was a box of Cinnabon cinny rolls there this morning.

    Somehow haven't had any.

Of course, that is how I justify having a few extra beers. :)

Priorities!!!! Wtg on not having any...I don't drink very often, but if I knew I was planning on drinking during that week...I would DEF pass up DQ and other snacks to make room for alcohol calories!

I'm sure it was super good though!
We get coupons for BOGOF Blizzards and they are buy a medium, get same or smaller free. I always get a mini (unless it's banana split Blizzard, which has fewer cals and I may get a small). The counter staff at DQ is always like "um, do you realize you could get a medium too???" and I just tell them I really want a mini! hehe
