Trouble with the scale

So I've been staying away from the scale because last time I used it to lose weight, I became obsessed with the number on it, and found myself depressed when it went up at all. I've decided to focus on cutting calories and working out with out a definitive measure of where I am weight wise with the help off this app. Does anyone have any suggestions on other ways to measure success?

A tape measure? A physical goal, as in "Do 10 pull ups"? Your clothes fitting better. You feel better. All these things are ways to see results without a scale.1

Maybe on how your clothes feel? Are your jeans feeling a little looser?
You don't have to be a slave to the scale!
Good luck to you!!!0 -
Buy a dress or pair of pants in the size you want to be. Try it on regularly to see how close you are to getting into it.1

Thank you all! The clothes idea is a great idea! I'm going to try it out!0
