Don't feel daunted by it - take one day at a time. I also have that much to lose and have lost 35 pounds so far by increasing exercise and fasting 2 days a week (not starving). Be consistent.

Take it slow, make small sustainable changes.

    Top tips:
    • Set up your MFP Profile honestly, with 100lb to lose you can probably aim for 1.5-2lb per week and still have a relatively decent calorie intake, but don't be scared to set it lower and take it slower
    • Buy a food scale if you don't have one already, it's the best method of accurately logging your food intake.
    • Log your normal intake for a couple of days and see where you might be taking in extra calories that have caused you to gain.
    • Make small changes to reduce your intake to your calorie goal, this could be reducing portion sizes, substituting high calorie foods for lower calorie versions, changing the way you cook things to reduce oil usage or cutting down on liquid calories such as sugary coffees, soft drinks, etc.
    • Once you have a handle on your calorie goal you can start thinking about tweaking your macronutrition (fat/protein/carbs) split to find a healthy and satiating nutrition balance. This isn't required for weight loss, but will help you feel fuller for longer.
    • Exercise isn't required for weight loss, but it will improve your overall health and help you maintain muscle whilst

I also have 100 to lose ! So frustrated that it was only 60 I needed to lose and over 3 years added 40 pounds. Looking for friends to follow and keep me motivated.

Don't think of it as 100 pounds to lose, aim for 5, and repeat x 20
