How many clothes sizes have you dropped?

I was really pleased this week when I went shopping for some new work tops and was able to buy a UK size 12. I can't tell you the last time I was in a 12. When I started this journey I was squeezing myself into a UK size 16. I can tell you it felt good to be in a size that every shop stocks. I'm still a UK size 14 on the bottom and for purpose of buying a dress. But it's definitely the right direction and it encouraged me so much I bought 5 tops.

I started the year on the 2nd notch on my belt. Now down to the 5th notch and now need to punch more holes in it so I can tighten it further. Its a good feeling to feel my clothes getting less tight on me5

At my heaviest I was an UK 18-20. Currently at a size 12, but I have a few size 10 items now!3

I started at a UK 16 in trousers. A few weeks ago went shopping and the 14s were way too snug in a certain style (other styles fit fine). This weekend I bought the 14s in the style that didn't fit previously, actually contemplated going down an extra size. I've bought a few size 10 items on top too. I think it depends where you shop. Happy to wear stuff from New Look as they're more generous, but not trying on anything in Oasis just yet!1

I went from a size 48" pant waist to a 32" paint waist depending on the cut. I also went from almost growing out of a 3xl shirt, now I wear a size medium, sometimes small shirt depending on the cut. The size of my loads of laundry still baffles me over how small they are now.3

My trousers in the U.S. have the waist measured in inches. When my first child was young 27 years ago she wanted to help me put my belt through the loops of my 54" trousers. I sent her an email a few weeks ago to tell her the same trip now would only be 34 inches. She replied that her skinny husband wears 36.
I'm wearing M now, rather than 2XL then. 14.5" neck rather than 18".7 -
I went from an 11 to a 7 jean, shirts from a large to a medium, I don't like tight shirts2

Started at about UK 28/30, am currently UK 8/10 and still have lots of weight to lose so who knows where I'll end up?3

I started as a UK26/28 at 289.5lb and am wearing a UK12 dress today at 166.4lb (and yet am still considered obese, go figure)1

From size 54 in pants to 32
From size 4x in shirts to Medium2 -
I only dropped one size, but that's really all I needed. I'm basically just here to keep from needing to drop sizes in the future. (You know, that slow creep up in weight as you age? That's why I'm here. To prevent that.) I wear the same size I wore in high school, and it's been well over two decades since high school, so I'm pretty happy about that!
Good job everyone!3 -
From 26-28 to 14-16 (US)
This is such a comfortable size because I can shop in both plus size and normal departments. I'm in size heaven right now because I've only been buying clothes on deep sales while losing weight and my cheap clothes pool has grown significantly.
The last time I was this size was at high school graduation.3 -
I was an Australian 12 top/14 bottom for ages. At my smallest, I got down to a 6. I have put on muscle since, and my small pants don't fit past my quads, so not sure how they'd go around the waist. One pair doesn't fit past my calf muscles which I laugh about. I wear 8/10 most of the time now.1

Started out at a (UK) 18/20, now 12/14. Well, 12 top, 14 bottom, though I can actually fit in some size 12 trousers, depending on the cut.
I've never been this small as an adult - I was wearing adult size 12s when I was about, ummm, 12. I always thought 14/16 was the 'average' UK dress size but the clothes shop racks do not reflect this. I'm having trouble even finding size 12s to try on, they seem to sell out the quickest. Thought it would be easier to find smaller sizes but that's not the case. Frustrating!1 -
AU/UK size 18/20 to an AU/UK 8/10. Still head to the 'plus size' section of stores before I realize I am in the wrong section!1

Clothing sizes are all over the place, but based on averages, I went from a US 16 to a US 4.1

Was up to a US Size 30/32 at my highest, and 28W was the lower end of that. Tops were a 3X.
Size 10 dresses, jeans and shorts now. Athletic clothes (trisuit etc) are Large, T-shirts are generally mediums, except that one lovely vanity sized small t-shirt that I love to wear solely because it is a small. In Bras I went from a 48 G or H to a 34 Long.6 -
I started at a US size 13/14 pants
I now wear a US size 4 to 7 depending on brand
Shirts were xlarge or 1x and I'm now wearing mostly medium with a few large and smalls mixed in depending on the cut and brand1 -
Went down 2 sizes - started at US size 10-12, now a size 6-82

I was a US size 24W-26W, sometimes 26W-28W when I started. I am now down to a 16W. Hopefully, my new Keto diet regimen will get me down to a size 8-10 this year!2

Hi brookielaw! : ) I can relate to the boob situation. I went down from a 48D to a 42B, and they are starting to look like two empty wine bags! LOL Thank goodness for pushup bras!2

Former UK18/20 now a UK8/10. I'm the same size/weight I was when I was 16, if you can believe that.
Lost 73+ pounds over 22 months with a 12lb regain in the middle.
TBH, for me it's one of those weird things where I'm constantly having to battle what I think I should buy size wise and what I actually am. I was in M&S the other day and I was looking at two really cute cropped jumpers and I thought to myself, without looking at the sizes, wow that jumper on the left is massive that would never fit me. I'd get the one on the right. The one on the left was a 10 and the one on the right was an 8. If I were to pick up my size without looking at the garment, I would have chosen the 10 because I think that I am the 10. I did it while ordering a coat. I knew for a fact that my measurements were for the size 10 because I looked them up, but I still bought a size 12 jacket. Lo and behold, it was too big. Eating less food is not the only adjustments we have to make.1 -
My before and during so far is squeezing into too tight size 20 (1X was tight) down to a comfy size 14(L).
I've lost 50ish pounds and hope to lose another 35-50 and would like to be in the mid single digits (4-6) and a M or S. We will see if my boobs let that happen. My body is a M but the ginormous ladies refuse to surrender and I require oxygen to live.1 -
I started out in a size 20 and 2XL size shirts. I am now wearing 8/10, medium/small depending on the brand.3
-
I started out wearing size XL tops, size 16 jeans. Lost 50lbs, now in a size medium top, size 12 jeans1
-
Last year I was wearing size 16 jeans from New York & Co along with XL/1Xs at Torrid. Recently bought NY&Co. jeans that are size 4. Size 6 some other places and Mediums/Smalls.1
