For the last 3 weeks, I've made a pretty abrupt change to trying to eat a ~mostly~ plant-based diet, adding in a bit of cheese here, a little meat there, but mostly veggies and grains. I hadn't noticed a huge difference but I am now.
Yesterday I only had a green smoothie and a bag of sunchips to last me until dinner, where I then pigged out on a big plate of fetuccini alfredo and a slice of chocolate cheesecake. I immediately knew I had eaten too much, because I felt wayyyyyy bloated.
Fast forward to this morning, and I feel so gross. Not sick, persay, but just still bloated and there's just an uneasy feeling sitting in my gut. I for sure plan to go back to my healthier eating habits, but for now, any tips on how to feel better would be much appreciated. The only thing I've been able to brainstorm is basically just drinking water to flush the demons out haha. I'm kind of proud that my body is reacting this way, because it means I've been doing what I've been aiming for the rest of the time, but right now it sucks.

There is nothing that needs flushing. Calm down and/or go for a walk. And then don't go back to the extreme diet that triggered overeating.1

The only thing that triggered my overeating was not eating all day (definitely not on purpose) and thinking I was so hungry that I needed all that food (and also that I deserved to indulge because my day was crappy). The so-called "extreme" diet I'm eating is fine, thanks.1 -
it amazes me the number of people who have followed a normal diet for years, decide to lose weight. eat 'clean and healthy' and a week later cake makes them feel ill...3

I find that probiotics help when I have eaten something that makes me feel bloated and icky...have some kombucha or kefir or yogurt or similar.1

Apple cider vinegar is my go to. And water with lemon. Too bad they don't make cake in the three bite size! Maybe someday Amazon will drone us one..1
