Help on where to start....Thanks in advance for any advise!

So I was working out hard in a few classes Zumba and a Cardio Core class, I hurt my knee and I have micro tears, dr said stay off of it till it wasn't hurting and then start back slow, so I have started 20 minutes on the treadmill, afraid to do any leg machines with my knee, and would like to work my arms and abs a bit, any suggestions? My gym is not very newby friendly and the machines kind of intimidate me, no idea what weight I should start at or correct positioning, thought about getting a trainer but its like 200.00 for your first consult and I can't afford that any advise or info...I'm 5'1" 182lbs....don't know if that makes a difference but thought I would throw it out there

I like the 30 day fit app, it gives you exercises based on different parts of your body. Also most of the exercises range from beginner to advanced, so you can work your way up. They are body weight exercises, but you can add weights if you are comfortable. I would recommend trying that first with your knee and build up your strength.1

I love the hasfit low impact videos on YouTube, I also love the jillian Michaels kettle bell shred (mainly upper body) and the Lesley samsone walk from home videos (YouTube) - they're basically aerobics whilst walking on the spot (you can do up to 3 miles/45 minutes) xx1

Bodyweight exercises are great: pushups, planks, bodyweight squats. Add me and I can give you some more detail if you like.0

Seems like pricey $200 for a consultation for the trainer. As far as the kind of workout my recommendation is ask your doctor to set you up with a physical therapist.The therapist will be able to prescribe you any workout and explain how to do the exercises and what kind of exercises you do. Just to let you know I speak with experience I've had a double hip replacement and arthritic knee that needs to eventually be replaced.
I don't want to blow the aura around a physical trainer but somebody's physical trainers really have no idea what they're doing and they're just physical trainers with a title.1
