Hi! I have had this app forever but just recently started using the food diary and community. I am working everyday towards better health. I have grandbabies that I need to be able to keep up with.

Hi! One of the best pieces of advice I was ever given was to be honest with yourself, be kind with yourself, and just "make your next decision a good one."

We'll all get to a place where we don't *feel* motivated to measure, exercise, or check in. Sometimes you'll fall off the bandwagon and feel like a failure (not wishing it on you, just speaking from experience). Allow yourself seven seconds of berating and then just resolve to make your next decision a good one. You can't change the decisions you made 3,457,834,632 decisions ago, nor can you assume you'll make good decisions 2 decisions from now. All you've got is this next one. Take that opportunity and move on.

Feel like you "cheated" on your diet? Have a reasonable protein (something baked/grilled...or hardboiled eggs or canned tuna if you're lazy like me) and green vegetable as the next thing you eat.
Sat on the couch all day? Go on a ten minute walk. Tidy your house for ten minutes. Do 10 air squats, 10 pushups, 10 situps. Or some variation of those things.
Have you only had pop to drink all day? Drink a glass of water.

After a while, making good decisions will become a habit. Habits lead to long-term results.

    Good luck!

May you commit to a healthy life change! I am on day 2 of full commitment. Yesterday it took almost 2 hours to head out to the gym. Today it took a little over an hour and a half. Why do I procrastinate, I haven't a clue! However both times I left the gym I have felt great. Baby steps, you can do it!
