Is it normal to plateau when your no where near your goal weight?? I have lost 2 stone(28lbs ) and still have 5 more stone to go (70lbs) I've been calorie counting and sticking to my limit sometimes being 100-300 kcals under
Any ideas how to get the weight lose going again

How long is it since you lost weight? If it's only been a week or two, it's normal and not a plateau.

See bolded part. You are not in a "plateau". If you are truly in a deficit then nothing has changed, your body is doing what it always does: retain fluids as necessary, speed up or slow down digestion - as it always does, or any of a number of different factors.

Don't trust the scale in the short term. Just keep on keepin' on.

After I started my diet I consistently lost 1.4 to 1.6 Kg per week for 9 weeks, then from weeks 10 to 13 I either gained or lost 100 g each week, resulting in the same weight in week 13 as in week 9. However, luckily I was also tracking my waist measurement, which did drop, so that kept me motivated. Since week 13 my weight loss is inconsistent, anywhere from 100 g to 2.1 Kg in a week.
