Hi all!

I am Terry and I'm a 55 year old wife, mom,and grandmother. I stay at home, but I homeschool my oldest grandgirl, who is 9. My other granddaughter is only 8 weeks old, and I will be taking care of her on an intermittent basis as my sweet daughter in law returns to work part-time. My life is full!

About 4 years ago, I began a weight loss journey with Weight Watchers, which ended with me losing more than 50 pounds. Unfortunately, I have gained most of that back and it is time to start again. I simply cannot bear to do the whole points thing again, so I have decided to try just straight calorie counting, and came across a recommendation for this site.

I do hope it works!

I have set my sights lower than usual - I have started with a goal of 1 pound per week. I'd rather keep my life "normal" and lose along than try to throw everything up in the air at once.

I know I can do this. I have done it before. But I won't say that I don't dread it - at least a little!

Welcome to MFP!!! Add me as a friend if you like. I have wanted to do WW but it was always to expensive to join the "club" I actually found this through my Droid phone, but love it. I have been on for two weeks and have lost more weight than I would have thought possible JUST by counting calories. I know you can do this!!!
