Don't place too much emphasis on what you see day to day or even week to week. You might not see anything on the scale for a while then *bam* 3 pounds comes off. You may also see slight variations day to day where you gain a pound or two based on water retention and the contents of your gut. ;)

The same applies to weight gain. Things are very rarely truly linear.

That's super true... I was on a good kick for a while, losing weight every day, it was great! I was doing everything right, but then there was a string of days where I wasn't losing anything at all. Which got super frustrating very fast. I switched to weighing myself every week, then every two. Two weeks seemed to be the magic number! I got to see the real results without stressing myself out (which will lead to weight gain) on a daily basis.

I'm excited for you that you're making changes! Here's to a new you and fabulous results from your hard work :)

There's nothing wrong with weighing yourself every day; some studies find that people have more success when they keep on top of their weight. Just remember that there are some day-to-day fluctuations.
