I think I've hit a total plato :(

I lost 45 lbs last year after having a baby. I am in the best shape I have ever been in. I have always exercised regularly but now I work out harder and smarter. I lift weight and do things in the gym I never thought I would be able to do. I love it. But I've hit a total plato and I don't know what to do. I cut down to 1200 calories a day, and I eat well. Mostly veggies, lean protein, fruit in moderation, drink mostly water, watch my carbs, do cardio intervals, hit the gym 5-6x a week. Idk what to do! Or what I am doing wrong. I haven't seen the scale really move in like 3 months. Any advice? I've thrown a cheat meal in to try and get it going again, cheat days, upped my calories for a few days. I feel like I've tried all the fixes and it's not working. My doctor says I need to still loose another 20-30 lbs to be at a healthy weight for my height. I am 168. I want to be 140. And I am building muscle. I see it. I want it. I would really like to stay thick but be fit. I know my muscles look great under this last layer of fat. Advice????

Do you use a food scale to weigh everything?

I have personally never seen a plateau that wasn't due to logging issues. How's your logging? Are you using your food scale for ALL solids? Measuring cups/spoons for ALL liquids? Using the recipe builder? Using accurate entries? Accurately logging your exercise? Logging every single thing that passes your lips?

Also if you've upped your exercise you may be retaining water.

You could always open your diary for more advice there....

If all this is accurate, has he tested your thyroid? Sometimes there are underlying issues to cause this, but sometimes it's just underestimating your calories in and overestimating your calories out.

^This. Take a deep breath. Get a food scale if you don't have one and start using it for everything you possibly can - packaged foods, whole foods, fruits, condiments, everything. You don't have to do it forever if you don't want to, but a couple of weeks should shine a light on where the problem lies. Also double check the entries you are using in the database, as many are user entered and wrong.

Also when you say the scale hasn't moved in 3 months, if you are getting the exact same reading every single time, try resetting your scale by changing the batteries or weighing other stuff on it. Sometimes scales get "stuck" and keep giving you the same weight or it can happen when the batteries are dying too.

    Hang in there!

Every time I circle the same weight for a while it's from bad logging or going way over my calorie target. Just because I don't put in on my food log, doesn't mean my body won't count it.

How many times per week or month are you having cheat meals or days to try and beak your plateau?
Especially at a smaller size it's easy to wipe out a deficit.
