Stress can destroy the way you process food, stress induced IBS is a thing.
OP I assume your body doesn't allow you to eat enough food and when you do you don't process it properly? I found walking, meditation and yoga helped me, essentially taking control and being aware of my breathing helped me to calm my digestive system.
What cured it (although i'm still susceptible to regression) is to find a way to let go and stop giving a fk. Of course that's way easier said than done. PM me if you wish, sometimes talking, to whoever it may be, can be a major help.2 -

You have opened my eye a bit more and pushed me even more. and yes i can see being the case especially due to the fact that i have anxiety. and starting a new job as a day care teacher for 6month to 12month olds is like WHEw!!! im about over it each day. going on a month now.0

Yeah it was anxiety that messed me up, had never suffered from it before but had some events happen in my life that just floored me. Didn't work for 3 months, lost a lot of weight, they thought it was colitis for a while as one of my blood markers came back positive for it. Once I got the diagnosis of stress induced IBS it actually calmed me down a lot. The doctor did prescribe a medicine to calm my digestive track, it was an anti depressant at a very low dose iirc. Probably worth visiting the doctor and seeing what he has to say.2 -
Wow. yea I take buspirone for anxiety for like 3 months now. i actually have had depression come and go but i didnt tell the doc. about being depressed. i was referred to speak with a therapist though. but i keep missing my app and dont want to go. second time coming back. My doc actually raised my dosage but it just makes me extremely tired the first few hrs. also, buspirone has a history of a little weight gain side effect. which i think thats why i originally started gaining a bit of weight and wanted to keep it and try to gain more. which i was, but now im at a stand still with it. my mom and sisters says i may have ibs because with almost everything i eat i instantly get gaseous rIght afterwards.0

I get you so much! I've started a new job and have the same issue. Except for me I end up eating my feelings at times. It's really hard x0

Stress can really mess with eating habits of many people, and often the best course of action is to find ways to better manage the stress itself. By doing that, the eating gets easier to control.
Anxiety, depression and/or the meds associated with them also have impact, so sorting things out can be even tougher. Use your wellness tools, set timers and/or use other reminders if needed, stay mindful, and do the best you can.1
