Hello everyone,
Currently I have 239lbs and want to be 180lbs. I'm 6ft and 20 years old 32% bf. I walk up to 20,000 steps by fit bit because of my job. I also go to a gym for an hour and do some cardio and weights.

My problem comes when I'm not losing any weight, gaining, or just barely losing any like .3 lbs for a week. I weigh myself every morning and take the average of the week.

I try to eat healthy. MFP says to eat 2,010 calories to lose 2lbs a week, but the fit bit added exercise says to eat like 3,000-4,000 calories some times a day. Honestly not sure what to do.

I'd like to some before I go back to school. Even like 12 lbs would be nice. Any ideas?

Sync your fitbit to MFP if you havent. Eat the calories MFP gives you for your goal. And dont eat back the full amount of exercise credit you get from fitbit. only eat back about 50%.

If you arent losing weight you are simply eating too much.

Okay I'll try that for a while. Any other tips you have for me? One of the tings I get stuck on is craving for sweets and salt. It doesn't really help when my parents bring back microwaveable pizzas and such. I drink a gallon of water a day and I still get them.

Make a compromise with yourself. Have something sweet and/or salty but a smaller portion. Read labels to see how much an actual serving size is and what the nutrition breakdown is for said size. Pair the microwave pizzas and such with something else, like some veggies or a salad (I enjoy the occasional delissio pizza but the sodium in those adds up FAST).

I have a hardcore salt-tooth, too. Popcorn with salt may make you retain water, but it's pretty much calorie free.

Pickles are also calorie free. They're literally my favorite food. Olives, however are actually pretty high in calories and fat, so choose pickles if you like them.

I salt the "buttered popcorn" flavor rice cakes after toasting them lightly. Also pretty much calorie free.

None of these are filling, but if you're needing to frequently fulfill salt cravings, these are basically the lowest cal and fat you can go.

Sweet tooth, I don't really have, but choose dark chocolate (plain bars) because it's actually not too bad for you, very rich, and a serving is usually about 6 small squares for 50 calories or so. I'll grab 3 squares here and there instead of something much higher in sat fat and calories like cookies or even sweet cereals.

Again...if you don't hate rice cakes, they make bags of "bites" in chocolate, cinnamon apple (those are good), and other sweet flavors. Those have sugar, though so be cautious.

I agree that you shouldn't consider the eating back the calories you burn in daily erercise. I have found that daily weighing leads me to play more mind games. I still weigh often- Monday, Wednesday and Friday- but I now hold my self more accountable instead of self sabotage and yoyo-ing. Add me as a friend and we can help each other out if you'd like..
