Gaining Weight while counting calories and walking 5miles a day?!

So I am gaining weight even though I am counting my calories and measurements. I just got off my period so maybe it is excess bloating? But it doesn't seem logical that I gained 7lbs in a week while eating 1620 calories or less!!!! I'm also pairing with my Fitbit and walk on average 5-7 miles a day. I'm not increasing my calorie intake with the calories from exercise. I just don't trust that eating more because I worked out will help me. Out of these two weeks I've had a binge night once. It was with friends, and we were drinking and eating BBQ since I'm moving soon. But I don't think that could possibly be the reason because I worked out that day, and the next. Ugh please help!!!

how are you measuring your intake??0

How often do you weigh in? (Daily, weekly?) If weekly, how close was your BBQ night to your weigh-in?
What is your normal weight fluctuation range? Your weight naturally goes up and down all the time, so that 7 pounds may or may not just be normal fluctuations for you.
How long have you been at 1620 calories?
Could it be TOM?
How new is the exercise? Starting or increasing an exercise routine can cause short-term water retention.2 -

HOW are you measuring your intake?? are you weighing everything you eat (sounds like you are not) - start there.1 -

when you lost the 1.5lbs were you eating the same foods the second week, before the bbq. if you switched up your meals you're prob eating more than you think.1

TOM = time of month. Are you using a food scale to measure everything you eat?0

How long have you been eating at your current intake? You said since your last weigh-in; does that mean you've been eating this way for one week?
It sounds like you need to be more patient and give everything more time. Other than that, weighing your food to more accurately gauge intake would also help.0 -
I eat 1700 a day average and barely lose on that many calories0

caloric intake requirements are based on gender, height, weight and activity level. I am 5'3, 127 lbs and have been losing on 2000-2200 calories, because I am active. The OP would have put her info into MFP to come up with 1620 calories.1 -

Did you log your calories from the binge day? It may have made more of a difference than you had thought. It takes a lot of exercise to compensate overeating. Also, be sure you are logging everything accurately. You may want to review your profile and make adjustments.1

Could be sodium from BBQ night and your period. I've gained 7 pounds at that time of the month before.
Use a food scale though!
The point of eating exercise calories back is to ensure your body had enough energy for what you are expending.1 -

Well that's odd to me, because as a 5'2 129lb female I lose on more than 1700 a day
OP it could be caused by coming off your TOM, my weight goes crazy for days before and after. Just hang in there and keep doing what you're doing...it'll drop3 -
Likely the sodium and alcohol from your binge night; plus if you changed up workout routines, you could be retaining water from that - it'll go away in a couple of days1
