Hi,
How do you all manage to stay healthy during the relocation process? I am shifting to a new city soon, and I am worried about my husband’s and kid’s health. I am sure this is going to be stressful, both physically and mentally. I am afraid my family might fall ill . I read about some tips online, to stay healthy during a relocation, http://www.armmove.com/en/blog/relocation/8-tips-to-stay-healthy-during-a-relocation/ .
It is being advised to hire professional Relocators for the moving process. But, I am unsure about their services. What are the things to be kept in mind while moving to a new city, so that we remain healthy? Please advise.

Why exactly are you afraid they will get sick?

How old is your kid? If you have moved before you know that it is a hassle, but you will all be fine when it is over.

    Could you be more specific?
How long do you have before you need to relocate? How far are you moving? What do you need to do when you move? How old is your child? Are your husband and child disabled or frequently ill? Why do you think they will become ill?
Do you need to find a place to live? Sell/buy a house? Pack? Find new health care providers? Switch banks? Are you going first and your family coming later? Do you have friends or family who could help out? Do you have the funds to pay movers?

The longest distance I moved was about 120 miles. Dh went to the new location and found a house to rent for us. Dd was about 5 years old. I stayed behind with dd and packed for a couple of weeks. I packed dd's stuff last. Then dh came back, we rented a moving truck, filled it and drove to the new place. My parents came along and helped us move. They stayed the night and drove home the next day. We unpacked gradually. Dd slept in our room for a few days in the new house. It was stressful but no one fell ill.

Make a list of things you need to do and plan your move. There are lots of checklists online.

Hey everyone. Sorry for the late reply. Was caught up with too much work. Actually, I have heard from one of my friend that her child had badly fallen sick when she had relocated. She was too busy with her work and she couldn't even take proper care of her son. It had taken weeks for him to be alright. I think it was due to sudden change in the climate or may be atmosphere.. Well, this put me into worry..
I just thought of clearing my queries here.
    Thanks.
