Keto sucks! It's only a get skinny fast diet. But you gain all the weight right back. Low calorie is your best bet. You need carbs for energy. All athletes live off carbs. I done both keto, atkins and low calorie diets. the low calorie diet helps me keep my weight plus the carbs give me tons of energy to work out. It's brutal to work out and do endurance with low carb diets.0

I combined "keto" / "paleo" principles with a 1400 calorie "maintenance" eating plan and it's worked great for me. Unless a person exercises a lot (runs 5 miles a day) the fat in the keto way of eating provides energy and satiety. That said, long term, restricting carbs to under 100 mg a day can negatively impact the thyroid and by the thyroid not working, weight gain can result.

Not all carbs are created equal, however, and there are ways to obtain the "good" ones while still adhering to the way of eating that makes someone who seems to flourish on keto "feel great"

I hear ya. Thanks for the comments. But for someone like myself, menapausal and overweight w/a huge carb & sugar addiction & can't stop when she's bad enuff, Keto is perfect for me. It's just what I need. And I have PLENTY of energy to "work it" like a maniac in the gym!

I've been eating keto/paleo since January.
I lov eating low carb but can't seem to eat enough fat.
Hense the paleo part and I lov food. I have cut almost all sugar out of my diet and that could be why I lost 10 lbs in 3 months.
