Hey.
Really struggling to keep below my target carbs. Even with loads of cals left, I'm going over. . Pretty into the gym and doing ok in that area. Just the nutrition side of things I'm struggling. I am a fussy eater who only really eats chicken meat wise, and I don't eat fish. Any low carb meal ideas would be appreciated ☺

Why are you eating low carb then?1

How low are your carbs? What are you currently eating? Usually you can get a pretty low carb meal by building it around vegetables (which, ironically, are predominantly carbs, but are just low cal) and some source of protein (chicken, eggs, legumes -- although other than tofu/tempeh that will be higher carb, dairy also can help with protein). If you aren't actually low carb, or only moderately low carb, it could be just reducing portions of starchy sides and maybe more sugary items.
The biggest issue with going over carbs is not that it interferes with weight loss (it doesn't) but that you might not be getting enough protein or (less likely) fat, particularly healthy fats. So focusing on what you are eating to add these things can often be helpful, and just changing portion sizes somewhat.0 -
Honestly "low carb" and "keto" isn't for everyone. Don't feel like you need to be doing it because everyone else seems to be.0

There are wraps called extreme wellness. I love them! I buy flavored cream cheese with lunch meat tomatoes onion broccoli lettuce and whatever else you want to put in it1

Maybe your MACROs should be changed. I did low carb and carb cycling and found that I am happier and have more energy with a moderate amount of carbs (45 to 50% of total calories). When I was low carb most of my meals were protein (cottage cheese, egg, chicken or tuna) and non-starchy vegetable ( leafy greens, broccoli, radishes, carrots, ect.) I missed beans, oats, millet and potatoes.0

Eating carbohydrates doesn't prevent fat loss/weight loss. Fat loss/weight loss is about calories (energy) coming in vs calories (energy) going out.0 -
I've been loving chicken salads with cheese sour cream and guacamole yum! Also try keto pizza with almond flour. Go on Pinterest there's tons of recipes!0

Thank you everyone for your replies. I haven't a clue how to use this community part of my fitnesspal. I didn't receive any notifications so just assumed no one had replied. Just found the replies half a year later0
