Walking Calories

Why is it that sometimes I get calorie credit for steps on some days and other days I don't. I can walk 15000 steps in a day but if I exercise for 60 minutes I don't get any credit for the steps. Other days I can walk 10000 steps exercise for two hours and get the calorie credit for steps. Other days with no exercise (recovery day) I may or may not get credit. Makes no sense.

Anyone have an answer??

Whats your activity level set to on MFP?

Do you have a synced device generating the adjustment?

You will only get an adjustment when you move *more* than the activity level would estimate. So if you have a day when you're moving more, you may get a larger adjustment for the additional exercise session. If you exercise and spend a lot of time sitting, you will get less of an adjustment.

Are you logging your exercise in mfp? Like, an actual activity log?

If so, any fitbit adjustment will be only for times outside of the time period you logged your exercise for. The extra calories you burned during exercise are already accounted for in the entry you logged.
