EBF moms!

Title says it. I'm an EBF mother of two sweetheart boys. I had my youngest son about 9 weeks ago. With this pregnancy, I gained about 35 lbs. I'm one of those that don't just magically drop all the weight while breastfeeding! Looking to drop about 20 lbs over the rest of the course of this year. I understand that I need to have more calories than assigned on MFP, but they need to be the RIGHT foods, lol. I'm still confused about how this will work... Looking at the THM diet plan or WW because they are inclusive of Breastfeeding plans. Thoughts on either?
Anyways, add me for some mutual support along the way!!

I'm EBF a 3 week old. I gained 37 lbs this pregnancy, I've lost 28 of it already but unfortunately I'm still way overweight from previous pregnancies. Right now I'm just logging and trying not to over think things yet.

Definitely try not to overthink it. I'm 9 months postpartum and JUST now getting started with trying to get to prebaby weight. (Well, technically I am prebaby weight, but I wanted to lose weight before, so...)
What I do is batch my breakfasts for the week. Usually smoothies, oatmeal muffins, or something easy like hard boiled eggs and fruit. For lunch, I try to do a large salad with protein and other veggies. For dinner, I do whatever. For snacks, I'll do fruit with protein like an egg, cheese, larabar, epic bar, etc... Right now I'm just trying to get in the habit of eating better and less sugar, so I'm not overthinking it. If I do, I'll get overwhelmed.
Good luck, mama!!1 -

Smart idea with the preparation, because I'm notorious for rushing meals. I'm finding a groove with eating a breakfast of steel cut oats, flaxseed, and Brewer's yeast in the morning to help supply, but afterwards, my meals are a free for all! Lol0 -
In addition to OP - I'm 3 months PP. I am looking to lose roughly 35-40lbs ( this includes 20lb gain prior to pregnancy). I am confused with how many calories a day I should be aiming to hit.... I'm ebf/pumping and some days I'm cleaning all day/ go on a 10k walk + ride my horse + barn chores....and some days I sleep....watch Netflix and just feed "Houston". In general I'm more active then not but I'm not sure where to put my settings?? I AM TRYING to lose weight but I'd like it to just be slow and steady as to not stress me or milk production.. suggestions??0

I'll add you! I had my baby 5 weeks ago exactly. I got the all clear from my doctor this week, but still just sticking with light exercises and walking. I've got 25 more lbs to get to my prebaby weight. I'm also EBF and realized that the weight doesn't just magically fall off like people say. Lol.1

I just had my second baby 3 months ago and you're right it doesn't fall off lol. I know the case is different for everyone but I set my activity level for moderate even though I'm a stay at home mom and my goal as 1 lb per week. I work out with fitness blender videos in the AM and yoga after bedtime. I've lost 6lbs in about 4 weeks and have 26 more to go. So far I haven't had any issues with supply. You got this though! Listen to your body.1
