Hi everyone,

I'm snack on really unhealthy things. Just wanted to find a few simple ideas for me to snack on instead. I love chopped veg etc- but wondering if anyone knows any other ideas... :D

Belvita breakfast crackers are amazing, there's 4 in a pack. Also, Zone chocolate peanut butter protein bars. Both are at Costco.

I love tuna mixed with avocado or guacamole and served on cucumber slices. Mixed berries, sargento cheese bites, nuts, carrot with peanut butter, apples with cheese, epic bars and RX bars.

I always make better snack choices when I prepare them in advance. Whether it is pre-portioning crackers or nuts in a bag or making mason jar salads or snacks. Some ideas that have worked for me.

yogurt and cereal, granola or graham crackers
    hummus and veggies
dessert hummus with apples, carrots and pretzels
    cheese, dried fruit and nuts
    boiled shrimp and cocktail sauce
    crackers, cheese and fruit

    If the focus is calories...
Plenty of crisp varieties for sub 100 cals
    Flavoured rice crackers
Kids ice lollies (e.g. Tesco ice lollies are 23 cals each)
    Carrot and dip
    Seafood sticks
    Sugar free jelly

You can also get a variety of noodle that's something like zero-8 cals in 100g. I know Morrisons sell them but I used to get them from my local Chinese supermarket - they are konnyaku or shirataki noodles - best I can say is google it x

I arranged my food diary to have a meal called "Snacks". That's not remarkable. However, I intend to only put food in the Snacks meal if I've already earned it with exercise. For my way of thinking, that makes it healthy.

Those are a meal in themselves. Not usually a good idea for a snack.

I have a similar thing as a meal for breakfast.

If you like tomatoes, slice one or two large ones into thick slices, top each slice with a bit of plain greek yogurt, then sprinkle some dried mint or oregano on top. Easy and delicious. I often use fresh mint or basil from the garden, but if you don't have it no need to buy fresh, just used dried. If using fresh sandwich the leaf between the tomato and the yogurt so you don't pull it whole when you bite into it.

I buy a punnet of grapes and a honeydew melon, chop the melon up on a Sunday night and section into 4 portions. Add 100g grapes per portion of melon. 4 days snack pots done and ready to grab.
