Any of my fellow triathletes suffer from really bad gas after an open water swim? I'd really hate to be the guy behind me on the bike... just saying...

I'm a natural... I don't even need to compete in a triathlon....0

I believe that is caused by the body responding to an extended swim. It creates gas in order to make the body more buoyant so the energy is spent moving forward, rather than on staying afloat.
Don't worry. All triathletes have this problem. They all totally reek during the cycling.0 -

Although you probably won't get a better reply than this:I believe that is caused by the body responding to an extended swim. It creates gas in order to make the body more buoyant so the energy is spent moving forward, rather than on staying afloat.

I was thinking, if you were to be able to channel that gas expulsion, it might help with forward propulsion, like a rocket assisted take off for some airplanes. Maybe pop into Lowes and get some PVC pipe to make an exhaust outlet...0
