Hey there,
I am 40 kg (89 pounds) 19 year old girl. I have tried so hard to try to eat as much as i can and have calorie dense foods but i still cant even reach my 2030 calorie goal for a day to gain some weight. I tried apitemine which is a multivitamin that helps to open ur apetite but it still hasnt worked for me. Can anyone offer me some tips to gain weight. It is very hard for me to do so and i am struggling tbh.
thank you!

    You have my sympathies.

I suggest you carry food with you everywhere like nuts, hiker's mix, and energy bars. Every couple hours, eat a little bit.

Drink whole milk with your meals, and take cream in your coffee.

That's all I have for now. Best wishes to you.

Try mass gainer! It is packed with apt of protein and is very calorie condensed protein shake. We use to take it in football for us to gain weight

This thread should help. Eat and drink calories. Increase frequency and dont' put limitations on foods.

I had the same problem. What worked for me was dropping the notion that I had to eat 3 full meals a day and I switched to 5 or 6 smaller meals. Make sure everything you eat is calorie dense (the hard gainer thread above is very good) Add oil to soups ,drink/eat full fat dairy ,snack on nuts and nut butters, ice cream, cheese, dried fruit; put lots of butter in your cooking, ; drink your calories when you don't feel like eating. Exercise and weight training increased my appetite too. Good luck!

Sometimes you have to eat when you aren't hungry. It's a pain in the *kitten* but hey, sometimes eating is more than just pleasure or survival. If I only ate when I was "hungry" I'd still be 6'1 and 135#. ;)

ice cream, the answer is always ice cream ...two servings of talenti gelato is about 500 to 600 calories depending on the brand and is easy to get down...

Now I want some Zabajone gelato (sort of an amaretto-tasting sweet cream gelato, I think they use marsala &/or rum in it). - My closest gelato shop that closed used to have that flavor. The Talenti flavors in the local quickie marts are meh.

Jar of PB with some fudge and/or nutella is up there too. yum.

Appetite isn't always the best gauge for when we need to eat or not eat. If we had someone trying to lose weight who was saying "I can't stick to my lowered calorie goal because I'm so hungry that I consistently overeat," we'd give that person a lot of tips and tricks for increasing satiety but it might come down to that person needing to find a way to stick to their goal in order to lose. Gaining isn't different; there are tips and tricks that can help (eat more calorie-dense foods, eat more often, drink your calories), but ultimately it's going to come down to you needing to find a way to stick to your goal.
