I ate all the things

Today was one of those days that I felt hungry all day. I've gone over my calories by 400 calories eating a total of 2300. This is the first time I've ever eaten back all my calories and the first time I've ever gone over my daily goal. Guess what? I'm totally ok with it. I don't feel guilty. I don't feel like I've flown off the rails or ruined my progress. I know tomorrow I'm not going to make an excuse that I've already messed up so what does it matter. This right here is my real success story. I've made actual mindset progress!

That's awesome, congrats on making that mental jump! That's what's been a revelation for me this time around also, and it's such a sense of freedom and control.
Well done!2 -
Glad to hear it. I do this from time to time. Likely everyone does. It is a normal thing to do. I don't think anything of it - good or bad.

That's awesome, I know it was a turning point for me too when it didn't cause me to throw in the towel.1

Feels liberating doesn't it? I think if we can get to a business as usual mentality the next day then fluctuations will never be a problem.1

It is way way it should be. Days like this are good for the soul and good for your overall health and wellbeing.2

It feels good to be ok with it, doesn't it!
I just had a 2 week holiday without tracking at all, and was totally able to relax, enjoy it and order what I wanted!
Back home and back at work, and back in my routine. Feeling empowered that I was able to give myself that break and still get straight back on track afterwards.2 -
OP I love this post! The same thing happened to me last week, and the next morning I just woke up and got back on track, with no guilt! Great job!3

It felt so good to wake up today and not hate myself or feel guilty. Food is just food and that is so much different from how I've always been. I'm not over compensating today. I'm not binging because "what does it matter now." I didn't realize how much emotion and judgement revolved around food for me. It's freeing.3
