I am not sure but I use the Alltrails app to find good hiking trails in my area.

    Check out buckeyetrail.org
I've hiked portions of the trail in NE Ohio. It's delightful!

Depending on your location there's Mohican trails in Loudonville (kinda central Ohio) and Hocking Hills down south. I'd use Google to find local trails. Most places have some kind of county trail system.

If you can make the drive - it's worth it. Hocking hills.

Hey I live in NW Ohio as well. Unfortunately we are pretty flat up this way so you won't find much hilly hiking. We do have beautiful lakes though. Depending where you live Maumee Bay is nice. Or get the ferry from Port Clinton and go to put in Bay and walk around the ferry is only. 7 dollars. There are also about 10 metroparks in the greater Toledo area.
