Might be a difference in brands, but ime, almond milk is usually incredibly low in protein. The brands locally are 0.6g protein per 100ml. It's basically fruit juice!

I've switched from almond milk back to soya milk on account of it, because it's just a waste of calories.

I am personally a fan of SDC Nutrition's About Time protein powder though and I use it in a lot of my baking. One thing ton consider before trying about time is that it is only lightly sweetened with stevia so their flavors are kind of mild compared to the flavors of other protein powders out there fwiw.
