It's long been a political joke in America,
Now it's a marketing blunder in New Zealand.

I remember in childhood my brother sampled the dog food. He did not become a connoisseur of it.

I seen that on the news! The box did look like a child's snack haha0

I tasted dog food (hard kibble) as a child with a friend (sort of a mutual dare). It wasn't foul, but if you were expecting hyper-palatable human snack food, you'd be very disappointed.
I saw some turkey jerky on sale on Amazon the other night and clicked on it to figure out how much jerky was in the package, only to discover it was for pets.1 -
way back when I was a kid the beef jerky for humans and jerky for dogs looked the same. I ate the dog one. no big deal0

The milkbone-like shape and the fact that there is a dog eating them didn't give it away? Hope the kids are smarter than the parents. :laugh:1

I heard if you dip dog food in apple cider vinegar, freeze them and then tape them to your stomach it will instantly remove 5lbs of fat.10

It's not a big deal. A child of friends was feeding my cats some cat treats. She asked me "Why do the cats like these treats so much?" I replied "I suppose they taste good......why do you ask?" "Well, I tasted them, and I don't think they taste very good at all."
No harm done, unless you count the cats losing out on a treat.0 -
Heh - reminds me of:
Yesterday I was buying a large bag of Purina dog chow for Athena the wonder dog at Wal-Mart and was about to check out. A woman behind me asked if I had a dog. What did she think I had, an elephant? So since I'm retired, with little to do, on impulse, I told her that no, I didn't have a dog, and that I was starting the Purina Diet again.
Although I probably shouldn't, because I'd ended up in the hospital last time, but that I'd lost 50 pounds before I awakened in an intensive care ward with tubes coming out of most of my orifices and IVs in both arms.
I told her that it was essentially a perfect diet and that the way that it works is to load your pants pockets with Purina nuggets and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry and that the food is nutritionally complete so I was going to try it again. (I have to mention here that practically everyone in the line was by now enthralled with my story.)
Horrified , she asked if I ended up in intensive care because the dog food poisoned me. I told her no; I stepped off a curb to sniff an Irish Setter's *kitten* and a car hit us both.6 -
My hubby accidentally put deep heat instead of toothpaste on his toothbrush. You'd think the smell would be a clue, but it wasn't!0

My husband once brought home some frosted cookies I thought were for me. Nope. I survived.1

One of our boys developed a liking for Charlee Bear dog treats when he was a toddler and would sneak them whenever we weren't looking. We had to put them up out of his reach! He's 11 now and we still sometimes kid him about it.0
