I'm going to Korea for a month. As I'll be living in a hotel, I'll be eating out for meals.
Suggestions on what to eat?
What should I avoid?
Thank you in advance.

Eat Korean food. Don't eat food that disgust you. Enjoy your stay. Don't go to North Korea.10

This is important and it seems obvious but some tour guide might sound very convincing (I've been and won't return despite the beauty of the country and great people).
Enjoy your time there and remember fried foods and heavy sauces will be higher calorie no matter where you are.0 -

Authentic Korean food is very healthy. Mainly vegetables, but could have a lot of carbs like white rice, noodles, rice cake and etc.. Street food, delivery food, and fast food in Korea is also pretty healthy (depending on what you get of course) and definitely less fattening than American fast food. Hope you enjoy your time in Korea!0

I taught in Korea for 3 years (actually just got back to the states a month or so ago) and honestly, Korean food is delicious.
Koreans have a lot of veggie side dishes with almost every meal, so thats great! Bibimbap is an obvious healthy choice. Cold noodle dishes like kalguksu (갈국수) or naengmyeon shouldn't be too high cal if that is what youre worried about. And will be great in the hot weather. And they do have lots of foreign foods.
But really, if you're there for a month...just enjoy the food. Tteokbeoki (spicy rice cake), pajeon (savory pancake), korean bbq, Bulgogi, bossam, fried chicken and beer, ssambap, mandu (dumplings), dakgalbi, Jimdak (chicken in sauce with glass noodles), gamjatang (pork bone soup)....I could go on. Haha. Feel free to send me a message if you want recs for anything travel or food related and enjoy Korea.1 -
Love bibimbap, and though it has lots of white rice, it's essentially healthy protein and veg. Get it in the hot pot and allow the delightful crust of rice to develop. Eat with a spoon not chopsticks.
Bulgogi is great (if you want to try that out before you leave home, pick up a frozen saffron road bulgogi from the health food section or at Whole Foods) to get the basic idea.
There are lots of great soups too.
Only warning is if you are gf or gluten sensitive. It is virtually impossible to get gf even when you'd think it's obviously gf. Lots of contamination!0
