i haven't been a very good girl lately. i haven't logged anything for probably 10 days because i know i wasn't on track. and it made me feel really guilty and i know i have probably gained a few pounds back. i hate road blocks! i know i can do this... so... why aren't i doing it! im upset with myself.

It's ok. I haven't been the best either, especially exercise wise. Just pick yourself up, shake off the dust, and remember what motivated you at the beginning. Remember..it takes 21 days to make or break a habit and you CAN do this!:flowerforyou:0

As much as i hate to, i log in even when i am "bad". I feel this site is useless if i only log in when i am good. Remember, you are the only one who sees your food intake. I feel it gives me a good overall picture of my eating habits and that takes time to build.
Anyway, good luck on your goals. You can get back on track.0 -
I seem to have this issue a lot. My integrative nourishment counslor told me this: you may have gained some weight but it doesn't mean your efforts are all lost. Lapses are like waves you meet as you walk out into the ocean. They set you back a little, but you are still further from the shore than when you originally started. And the more you practice better nourishment skills, the less frequent these waves will be. And you'll learn to swim. Just so you know, studies show that 100% of weight loss participants experience lapses, but not everyone has a full blown relapse, which is giving up completely. The difference is in your thinking and attitude. If you expect lapses, and accept them as part of the journey, then you are much more likely to succeed longterm.
Hope this helps you, I know if made me feel better!0 -
Hi!
When I log in my bad days, I realize that they are never as bad as I thought.
We also fluctuate every day on how much we do and eat, which is natural. This is calorie cycling which they say is the best way to lose weight without stressing out our bodies to much.
If I eat more one day, I know I will work it off at the gym the next day.
Remember to set realistic goals, 1 pound a week or less. With exercise, it is also best to do in moderation. A realistic goal is 3-5 times a week.
If I can't get to my computer, I write down what I eat on a log until I can get it entered in.
It can be time consuming to log everything in each day, but I find that it is worth it to keep me on track.
Be glad you are there and not here, we just had a huge storm a few days ago and then the temp. went below zero. I had to move an ice boulder from our driveway before I could get out!
It is natural to get off track once in a while, the key to sucessful goal achievement, is to get right back to it after you've had a break.
Be kind to yourself and always look for the positives.
