Slimfast

I am a few weeks' away from going to see my grandchildren in LA so for the last four weeks I have taken Slimfast in order to *kitten* weight quicker. It is only a temporary measure as I will resume eating nutritional food when I am back. I love the taste of Slimfast shakes and already I have noticed my skin is better and my hairloss has slowed down. That is not the first time that i have noticed skin and hair improvement when taking slimfast in the past.

Probably because slimfast is fortified with vitamins and minerals as it's very low cal8

If you enjoy slimfast, why not just incorporate it into your normal nutritious diet? Then, you get the added benefits of it being fortified with vitamins and minerals along with (hopefully) a varied and balanced diet.8

I was going to say, of all things that slimfast may or may not be, it certainly is nutritional. I actually have some not because I think its magic, but its like a vitamin shot without getting 5000 times a daily dose in pill form which you just pee out anyways.
I use it as a "snack" drink for when im feeling hungry but dont want to have a full meal.7 -
I have some of the caramel flavoured vitality powder as I tried it and think it's really nice certainly no magic there but it's useful if I need to have something on the fly.2

I have never heard that about Slimfast, interesting and worth a look at! Thanks for sharing.1

I trust slimfast and other quality meal replacement protein drinks sold at Costco. They seem to provide more complete nutrition than a meal you make yourself.
However, it took me forever to finish a case of 24. I just got sick of the taste.1 -
Slimfast: Look at the label and log the calories.
Better: For hair, you may need more protein in your diet. For the vitamins in Slimfast, consider taking a 4 cents a day multivitamin instead. Hair loss could also come from lack of vitamin E, iron, selenium, copper, magnesium, which are all in a daily multi.

Protein drinks at Costco is an excellent idea. Stores like Target also sell these in small packs. Much more protein for your buck and even some with less calories. Some with only 2 grams of sugar. Not 19.

Oh NO, NOT SUGAR!!! Its almost like they dont want their drink to taste like metals and other vitamins with horrible tastes.13 -
I drink slim fast I love the shakes helps me with cravings I use the shake as a meal replacement and a snack.0

I love Slimfast powder. The premade ones are way too thick for me. I generally have a half scoop with 8 oz milk as a middle of the night, shut up stomach, snack.
Plus they mix with milk way better than most other powder drinks.0 -

Puzzled by this too - I only said "shift" like in losing. Wonder if I mispelled it and put "sh-t" instead.2 -

Not to pick a fight, but some of us can't have a lot of sugar. Nineteen grams of sugar is more than half of my target grams for the day. Just sayin'.2 -
I hear you..thats why I like the high protein one it has less than 1g of sugar0
-
I love the Premier Protein drinks from Costco... high protein and low sugar and a great taste all packed into 160 calories. I usually take one with me to the gym to drink on the treadmill in addition to water.0
-
I buy the Equate Walmart brand shakes and I love them. I usually drink mine in the late evening when I am just a little hungry and want something sweet.0
-
Well I would say if you see improvements when taking this then you might wish to take some kind of vitamins or supplements when you stop using it. you might not be getting enough in the foods you eat.0

Well that all depends on the foods they eat of course. Also would have to have blood work done to see if there is any deficiencies. Everyone is different and even though we may be fine someone else might not be so lucky.
In my occupation I see elderly people who can become very effected by low sodium or low potassium.

Your right about the potassium..one of the reasons I am using it is because of the high potassium..I am on a supplement now so if I should stop slimfast I might need to double up on supplement or find another source
