I have a polar ft4 but wondered if Fitbit is better/worth the money? Also which Fitbit is worth it? I'm not looking at spending a fortune on the most expensive ones but looked at charge hr, flex 2 or alta hr

It depends on whether or not you are the type of person to be motivated by it. I like mine - it does help me stay motivated. I have the Fitbit one, because I really personally see no need for the bells and whistles like hr monitor, gps, etc. I like the One, it measures steps, distance, and stairs/elevation. That's all I need.

I love my Fitbit Flex 2...I wanted to be able to swim with my tracker, so it is perfect for me!

I only use my Polar. I used the Fibit once or twice. I didn't find it very accurate with heart rate or steps.

I wore it folding laundry and gained hundreds of steps.

I can't stand wearing anything like a watch on my wrist - which is another reason I chose the One. I can clip it to my bra or to the inside of my pants pocket - steps are very accurate!

If your only form of exercise is walking, that's what they're good for. If you do anything else, get something else.

I use the Garmin Vivofit 2. It requires no charging and the battery has lastest over a year

It think it is worth it. I didn't realize till mine broke. I have not been half as active as I was when I had it. I was obsessed with meeting my step goal every day. Now, not so much. I know activity still counts whether it's tracked or not but it's something about the stupid thing. It's good motivation I guess.

Chest strap as still the most accurate in terms of measuring heart rate, but really, only those with training goals or are super ocd with accuracy will invest in them.

Like some others have stated, if you are only interested in walking, dont bother with the bells and whistles. Personally, the only reason I got my Fitbit BLaze is because I got it in great used condition for $70. I love the hr aspect only to gauge approx.calores burned. And so far they have lined up with the calories burned that I was manually putting in for cardio before Fitbit.

I love mine. I have the charge 2. It makes me want to get the arbitrary 10 000 steps in daily that it came programmed with as a goal.

I consider it a fun toy that motivates me to move more. Looking at the data is interesting too. How accurate it is, I don't really care.

They go on sale every month or so, if you wait it out you should be able to get one for 20-25% off. When they go on sale they are on sale everywhere it seems, fitbit.com, BestBuy etc.
