I'm trying to find bjj gi and totally stuck with sizing. I'm very curvy and been going no gi so far borrowing a jacket when needed. Some A4 trousers just about fit but are way too long. Anyone found gi that works for short and large sized ladies?

Bjj is Brazilian jiu jitsu and the gi is the training gear they wear. My grandson does Go Soku Ryu which made it make sense.

They won't let you use a rash guard instead? That might be an option for the bottoms, rash guards on amazon are stretchy and range in size. Maybe a rash guard or gi for the top? Other option is to have the gi altered at a tailor or dry cleaner...

I've trained no gi so far and borrowed a top when needed in practice but obviously well fitting gi of my own would be better. Surely I can't be the only larger sized woman doing bjj so there must be some gi's available somewhere

Fuji has a wide range of sizes in women's Gis. I would check them out.

I'm a bigger guy and have a couple of Fuji gi's that I like. It's a pretty good economical/quality gi as well all things considered. I just bought the bigger size that I would know would fit my torso, and took it to a tailor to have the sleeves and legs hemmed. I would maybe get that A4 and then just get it altered for length which is only a few bucks.

I know some people like to try to shrink it in the dryer until it fits just right...I personally haven't had success with that and ended up ruining a gi I just bought and got extremely pissed lol.

Thanks I'll have a look! Seems like there are more sizes at US market than in EU. Some makes allow mixing tops and bottoms as well which might work better. I've tried A4 top and it was comically big while trousers crotch was towards my knees although they otherwise fitted.
