So I was wondering what do you do when you reach all your required macronutrient (protein, carbs, fats) & micronutrient (vitamins, minerals) goals for the day but you still have calories left?? Do you eat more to get the calories in or hit the "Complete This Entry" button?? I know it varies depending on everyone's independent goal but i was just wondering what would you do??

I never make goal. I'm usually under in something and over on something...or just under everywhere. I hit *complete*. My *kitten* doesn't need any extra "filler" calories. So I just let sleeping dogs/calories lie.0

If I'm not hungry, I don't eat the remaining calories. Also, I am almost always over on one of the macronutrients.0
-
I would complete, but I get annoyed when this happens.0

With the little bit of calories you have left I wouldn't worry about it.0

I just AIM to meet those numbers/goals... I am totally all over the place on mine a lot of the time.
I wouldn't eat the extra calories if you aren't hungry, cause you got all your nutrients for the day!
This week has been kinda crazy for me and for like three days in a row, I was under my calories by 500 and then the last few days i've been over my calories by around the same. but I am usually under on my proteins (aiming for 128 grams! which is a lot for me) !
but I always think.. if i'm close to or around the numbers, I dont worry too much about it0 -
I don't. I only try to be on track for protein (custom set for 1.5 g per kg body weight) and iron, and don't even care if I'm under fats and carbs. Hence, If I have calories left and I'm hungry, I either eat whatever I want (usually lean protein, complex carbs, nuts), or I stay under calorie goal for the day and hit the complete button.0

I usually reach all my nutrients before I reach my calorie goal also. So I hit complete for the day as long as I am not hungry any longer. If I am still hungry I see what I can fit in that is the least of the bad stuff and most of the good stuff but still under my calorie goals....if that makes any sense0

i've never hit everything exact, so when things are close & i still have cals left- i'll gear my next/last meal toward meeting whatever macros i have left to use, but i don't worry if i'm over or under by a little on carbs/fats & i'd prefer to be over with my protein (& fiber too!)- so if it's extra cals left over & all my macros are great, i'd opt for a lean protein/veggie type meal/snack to keep the carbs & fats in range. ♥0

Well... 7 grams of fat would give you 63 calories and get you part of the way there. Take like half serving of Olive Oil and call it a day, don't sweat the smaller points. You're in amazing shape!0

in this case it looks great heh. i'd just complete it. i usually just go by macros though, not cals.0

I tend to eat something high in protein. Some chicken or nonfat greek yogurt.0

Just an observation but 1.5 g for maintenance sound a lot.0

Have a beer?0

If i have calories left over I will drink another vi shape milkshake and add some smuckers natural!0

:drinker: :drinker: GUESS EVERYONE IS ON THE SAME BOAT! Go by macronutrients, not by calories :drinker: :drinker:
I'd only use the leftover calories if I feel like i'm getting hungry and it'd be something mainly protein (chicken, egg whites, turkey slices, tuna etc) since I usually don't mind going over that macro, its the carbs and fats I try to watch for the most... as y'all can see I love me some protein! :laugh:0 -

Good fats are okay, fat doesn't make ya' fat. :drinker: :drinker:0 -
As long as I'm within a couple hundred calories, I just hit complete.0

I never make goal and strive to stay under my macros, so as long as I am over 1200 and I've eaten well throughout the day I don't worry about it.0
