    Successes / struggles this week: Excited to have some accountability. Really working on cutting out the junk (or at least minimizing it, as I am still having a drink with friends tonight, and probably at a concert Saturday. I want to continue to live my life while getting back to healthy, as in the past fitness has become a sort of obsession and I negated going out and doing things for fear of "messing it up!" Here is to a new chapter. :)

    Successes / struggles this week: Success is coming here every day this week and staying within calorie goal (until yesterday). Struggles ->eating over calories at a family gathering yesterday. The scale showed it today...500 calories over and lots of salty foods. Here's to a new day!

    So I originally posted I wasn't certain of my starting weight and guessed it at 203lbs. The official starting weight was 204.6. However on my weigh in today I am at 202.6. My goal weight by the end of July is 195, so it's definitely a start. I find my biggest struggles have been working in exercise, and not eating all the sugary foods. I hope to improve our that this next week.

    Dena, I'm so sorry for what your father and you are going thru. I was in your position last year this time caring for my dad in his last months and days...and it was one of the most difficult times of my life, and also found myself using food for comfort, often eating my dad's favorite foods or things from my childhood to ease my pain. It's hard to stay strong, but be sure to take care of yourself too okay. Hugs, Dana

    I'm 4 weeks post minor surgery and am allowed to start exercising again :smiley: however I've just started a new job so it's going to have to be yoga and weights at home, until I figure out what to do about gym membership...
    Not surprised I didn't lose this week, been driving a lot and eating junk. Gotta focus this week and try to get some fitness back!
