Hey

I just wondered if anyone has any tips/advice about taking a "break" from cal counting . Ive been trying so hard with it and doing really well. It was the first week of my holidays there and im not going to lie for the whole week I didnt calorie count. I put weight on as I predicted but mentally it has set me right back. I feel terrible for doing it, and my issue is - isnt it normal to have a week of with holidays etc. Mentally I am giving myself a really hard time for it.

I gave myself a higher calorie goal yesterday and today (July 3 & 4) with the idea that I would be celebrating, but still logging.

Originally, the idea was so I can keep my accurate tally (on a separate spreadsheet) on what calorie deficit I have, but I found myself turning away foods with a really high calorie content. Even though I wanted to enjoy the holiday, it wasn't worth 450 calories of fries and I was able to choose a strawberry lemonade which had 75% of the calories of the soda I wanted.

If you're feeling worse by not logging, then log. If logging is hard on you mentally, take a break. Like anything with weight loss, it's a completely personal decision <3

I'm on vacation and haven't logged a calorie and won't until Friday . I'm still logging my exercise though . Taking a break isn't bad just don't take a permanent one .
