Toning thighs

I've never been able to tone my thighs. I've experienced weight loss before and toning in certain areas (I'm really surprised how fit my calves look now compared to a few months ago). But try as I might, I can't tone up my thighs! I've tried to settings on the elliptical, lunges, squats, you name it. Does anyone have any tips? :( Right now when I stand with my legs together, they look like an inverted triangle because my thighs are so thick and my ankle areas so thin in comparison...

Hiya, I have found that cycling and running are fantastic for toning up thighs. Im currently doing 2 spinning classes a week and cycling in the gym too and my things look great, really tone. They are also great for a high calorie burn off too.
I used to do a lot of running but due to injury i have had to switch to the Spinning and cycling instead.
    Hope this helps.

I have the same look going that you do, cause my hips are so wide and then it just narrows from there.

Honestly though squats and lunges are the best for thighs. Along with leg presses and leg curls.

I also hate running, so I walk on a treadmill at a really high incline without holding on for 30 minutes.. that also seems to help thin out the back of my thighs at least.

I second the squats and lunges. Add some weight to make your muscles work harder. Also, dont' forget side lunges. They work the muscles differently. I did some weighted side lunge jumps the other day and i'm cripple today from them. Worked muscles I didn't know I had. Just stick with it, you will get there.

Alrighty, I'll continue to stick with the squats and lunges and keep y'all updated. Hopefully with enough persistence -something- will happen...
