T2Dm diagnosed 3-1/2 years ago. Started losing and keeping my carbs to around 150 g per day (moderate carb). I was off the glipizide within 8 months of diagnosis and my numbers have been in the normal range ever since (A1C ranging between 5.0-5.4)

    I am a Type 1
For years I also had Type 2, but have lost enough weight to no longer fit the clinical criteria for insulin resistance to be diagnosed as Type 2.

*Those with both types simultaneously are often known as "double diabetics" - because the diseases have very different pathways, I've always believed they should have very different names. Since that isn't the case, it is always helpful to specify Type 1 or Type 2.
