Question for those doing various Beachbody programs

For anyone doing Beachbody programs, namely INSANITY, is the Results & Recovery formula worth it? Can anyone message me the ingredients? Has anyone tried their own food/shake mixes and then compared it to the R&R formula?

I wish I could sample it for just a week. It's so dang expensive.

Thanks for any input offered.

Normally I'll just have something to replenish glycogen levels after I'm done, like fruit or orange juice, then after I shower I'll have my breakfast with some kind of complex carb and protein.

I don't use any, just my normal nutrition. I don't see the value in the drinks personally.

    I LOVE the Insanity workouts!

If you're trying to cut back on sugar, I wouldn't use it. I bought it and I was using it until I saw the ingredients. It has more sugar and calories than I want to add to my diet. I'm trying to have fewer sugar and calories, so I stopped using it.

My son who does bodybuilding, says sugar is important for muscle recovery. So I guess it depends on if you are trying to lose weight or build muscles.

It doesn't taste bad. It has an orange flavor.

I drink Shakeology every morning and I love it (does take a week or so to get used to the taste). Chocolate w/banana and almond milk is the best.

My fiance uses the Results and Recovery Formula after every workout. He swears by it. It really does help with soreness and a faster recovery for your muscles. I LOVE insanity I think it's a great program. I would recommend using R&R especially if you are sore or lose energy part way through the workouts.

Feel free to contact me with any questions. cacatanzaro@gmail.com

    Good luck!

Having done Insanity, I never used Shakeology or their R&R formula. I drank a whey protein shake after every workout using a protein powder from Walmart mixed with almond milk. I highly recommend some kind of recovery drink for your muscles, but you don't need to spend a fortune on Beachbody stuff. As far as quenching your post-workout thirst, water will do just fine.

I'm currently doing Turbofire, and have done a few other BB programs. I think the BB supplements are overprice so, I don't spend the money for it. The R&R can be replaced with chocolate milk to get the recommended 4:1 carbs to protein ratio for your post workout snack. I only do that when I won't be eating a meal soon.
