I talked to my gym crush.. now what?!
Hey everyone,
Please help. So Ive had a HUGEEEE crush on this redhead guy at the gym.. and after reading on forums about what to do I finally approached him today. I went to this machine next to the one he was using that was obviously missing the metal bar but I needed an excuse to talk to him so I was like "excuse me, this isnt supposed to be empty, is it?" (referring to the machine with the bar missing) and he was nice and friendly and said "noo, it's supposed to have a bar there." then he looked around for the bar and couldnt find it so he asked some guy who was using a similar machine if he's done with it so that i can use it. I said thank you and he proceeded to continue his workout in the same area i was.. except I THINK (or im pretty sure) i caught him eyeing me a few times after that and he even started doing pushups right near me, twice lol im not sure if its a coincidence or he was trying to look manly.
anyway, maybe he probably thought i genuinely needed help with the machine and wasnt interested in a convo? maybe i should have approached him in a way where there could be a legitimate convo? im going back tomorrow and really hoping he's there. what should i do now?
i feel like he isnt good with talking to girls maybe.. im pretty sure he was looking at me a few times after he walked away.
i was thinking tomorrow i can ask him to help me with using the bench press??? or is that too weird?? i will definitely smile at him tomorrow if i see him. what else do i do? how do i get him? i really want him!!
I uploaded a pic of what I look like (i'm 5'1", tan skin, long hair - he's a ginger with a decent body lol), so you can judge if I have a chance or not lol
thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Be direct. If you want to date, ask him out. If you want help with your bench press, ask him for help. Save those of us who legit want help from every dude thinking we want to bang when we just want a *kitten* spotter so we don't die.5

Maybe.
Or, you could just do this old school thing and talk to him, ask him out for a coffee and get your answer without awkwardly pretending.
Lol! I'll take advice from you from now on.
Oh, young lady of this post, she's an expert. Listen to her.1 -
Yes, you're cute! Keep smiling. Only ask him for help if you legitimately want his help. For all you know, he could be in a relationship already. But if you are nice and make friends, you will end up with a friend even if you don't even up with a boyfriend.1
