Noob again, Atkins?

So I had a baby and all my hard work was lost during pregnancy and now I can't seem to get back on the horse.... My husband wants to try Atkins. So my question has any of you wonderful my fitness friends tried it? What are your thoughts and suggestions?

    low carb works for some and not for others - you need to find what works best for that

    my recommendation - run your stats through MFP, and eat what it tells you, plus a portion of workout calories;

    aim for .8g protein per goal lean muscle mass; .4g fat and let carbs fill out the rest - do this for a month, then reassess and adjust as necessary

    Thank you for the suggestions..... I normally follow mfp and what it tells me but he isn't getting any results. But to support him on his journey as well as mine I would like to give it a shot with him. Just wondering what others though and how it might have worked for others......

    Yes but I'm a little better at it so I will be working on meal prep and weighing.... I normally would watch my fats sugars and calories and all that but he feels Atkins will work best for him and he wants to lose as much as me so for now I will try Atkins with him. We are starting our journey together today. Our kids how ever will have there own meal plan so hopefully he doesn't break while I'm at work.
