I have noticed that amount of calories mfp says i burned is more than what the machine says. Is it best to go with what the machines say ? Is it worth getting a fitness tracker ?

I always go with the lowest as I don't want to cheap on calories but I guess it depends on your end game.1

Get a heart rate monitor for more precise tracking. Both the machine and most apps can only give a general average for calories burned.1

I used to enter my workouts into MFP but stopped when I noticed it gave almost double what my Fitbit did. I trust the lower number. No way am I burning 700 calories in a hour of boxing 10lbs from goal ...which is what MFP said1

I put my info into the actual machine i use and use those as the calories burned.0

I always go with the lowest number too. I find MFP overestimates calories burned.0
