I have one tip , not a lot of people will agree with you having this done. So be prepared for some pretty strong opinions. I Have no opinion on the matter Just being your friendly neighbourhood spiderman0

I had the bypass three years ago. Great decision. My life is transformed.
Immediately after surgery your priority will shift to eating enough. MFP can help by letting you track accurately how much you are getting in.
This information will help your follow up team.
Priority for the first few days after you are cleared (leak test) is to get enough liquid in.
Then it is liquid diet.
Then semi/solids. Try and hit your protein minimums.
I related my stomach to a six month old baby. The reintroduction of foods should be gentle and progressive. I ate slowly and stopped as soon as I was full.0
