Need motivation

Hello fellow health enthusiasts. Ive recently became a family man of three children. Prior to this I was in the gym 2 hours a day 5 days a week, dropped from 342 to 248 in a year. Since then I havent had a chance to go to the gym anymore due to 12 hour shifts at work, then struggling with home life with the kiddos. So since i havent been able to go to the gym anymore in the last year and a half, ive stacked on 30 pounds. Ive been able to go to the gym a few times, but it feels as though my motivation has shot, and I dont feel the home workout is for me. I feel as though I have failed myself for my 220 pound goal. My confidence has spiraled down. Just looking for some motivational stories or possible tips.

Maybe focus more on your diet. Since exercise isn't needed to lose or maintain weight, if you're putting most of your effort into your diet you don't have to feel guilty about not working out at the gym. Do it when you have time as a bonus to your health regime.1

Also, I'd say those 3 kiddos are all the motivation you need to take care of yourself. They need you healthy and happy!1
