I had many struggles with weight from my youth to even most recent. It is always a challenge and an awareness in all that I do. It's really amazing how quickly a slide backwards into bad habits can lead to a flux in weight. I can lose the weight now that has been mastered after a 75lb loss I understand how to lose it and I do when I gain. My issue is I need something to keep me active I don't enjoy exercise. I want to but I have yet to find an activity that resonates with me. I am definitely open to some ideas!!!!!

I like to walk my dog every day. I have a route that is beautifully landscaped with flowers trees and shrubs around a very large nursing home in my neighborhood. It only takes 30 minutes so I usually do some weights ab work and leg lifts while I watch tv to round it out. Then I cool down with some yoga stretches. Some times If I can't get outside I dance to music for 30 minutes..

My suggestion would be try riding a bike, that is what I have been doing off and on this past 27 days, plus working on yard, light landscape projects.

Do you like music ? Some days when I don't feel like working out, I turn up the music and just dance ! it's a great workout and a ton of fun.

Weight loss starts in the kitchen but being active is always recommended.

What do you like to do? My colleague recently picked up cycling and loves it. If you like to dance, try Zumba in YouTube. Long walks, hiking and swimming are also ideas if you're into outdoor activities.

Just keep trying stuff until you find something you like. As has already been mentioned it's not necessary for weight loss or maintenance but it's definitely good for your overall health. Walking is by far the easiest and most cost-effective way to increase your activity. Take the stairs instead of elevator/escalator, if you drive - park further back in car parks, if you take a bus, get off a stop early, if you sit down watching tv a lot, get up and do something during the ads. There are lots of little ways that add up.
