Work day motivation.

My day starts early than most, and ends 15 hours later. Hardly any time to exercise. I walk on my lunch breaks and mostly take the stairs. I know I need to exercise to get back to a healthy weight. But I need motivation. Some days I have a exercise buddy or my wonderful supportive Husband to get me moving. But on those other days I just can't. Any help-suggestions or successful stories would be greatly appreciated.

Although exercise is brilliant for your health you don't actually need to do any to lose weight. A calorie deficit is all you need. Of course if you are a short *kitten* like me then exercise is seriously helpful in giving you more calories to play with but a little planning and some smart food choices can easily remove the need for it.

You don't really need to exercise to get to a healthy weight but I do understand how you feel. You can look to be more active as opposed to actual exercise. Supposedly fidgety people burn more calories than those that don't fidget :) When I started, though I was going to the gym for a short period I also tried to stretch out activities (my Fitbit helped here as well) but just doing my normal actives with a mindset of moving more.

If you need motivation, try some rewards for working out alone or completing so many workouts in a week. Something that is a little treat for yourself (I'm working on earning these Nike socks I want but would never think to pay that much for socks ;) ).

I've done both partnered and solo workouts and they each have their pros & cons, so I won't judge.

I'm hoping you don't work every day for 15 hours. Do you have days off? I'd focus on working out on those days, if so.

However, you don't need structured, strictly timed exercise to lose weight. Eat less of what you're eating now and try to be more active. Sometimes that's all you can do, and that's ok.

Just can't what? Exercise? So, don't. Log your food and stay in a calorie deficit. You'll lose weight.
